Anti-Racism Discussion Series: LIS Education and LIS Faculty of Color

Anti-Racism Discussion Series: LIS Education and LIS Faculty of Color In-Person

The discussion series of VIVA’s Anti-Racism Webinar Series will continue with a webinar on November 19th from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm.  Dr. Jazz Jackson, Chief Student Success, Equity and Inclusion Officer at Thomas Edison State University, will facilitate this session, guiding attendees through a discussion of the October 21st presentation made by Dr. Renate Chancellor, "Social Justice: Moving From Awareness to Action in LIS," in an effort to move toward meaningful and attainable individual actions.

There is a cap of 30 attendees for this event to ensure that it is a place for deep conversation.  Please note that this event is first-come/first-served, but we may need to restrict numbers of attendees from any given VIVA library so that we can serve our membership broadly.  The session will not be recorded; please only register if you are able to attend the session.  If you register and are ultimately unable to attend this session due to capacity issues, you will be prioritized for the next session in this series.
