Please join us for the 2026 VIVA Open and Affordable Community Forum on November 6, 2025. It will be a hybrid event with in-person attendance at Reynolds Community College, Parham Road Campus, Conference Center Gallery (WDCC, Room 100). This year's theme is "Community and Connections: Cultivating your Open Community." Additional information about the forum is available on the 2026 OAC Forum page on the VIVA website. 

There is no registration fee to attend this event. However, you must register 1 week ahead of the event to attend.

Forum Virtual Attendees

The forum will be available via Zoom for those unable to attend in person. The Zoom link will be provided in your confirmation. 

Forum In-Person Attendees

The event will be held in the Workforce Development & Conference Center, Conference Center Gallery (Room 100) at Reynolds Community College, Parham Road Campus. The registration desk will open at 9:00 a.m. with a full breakfast. Free parking is available in front of the building.

You can find a map of the Reynolds Parham Road Campus here. We recommend parking in lot G or I, as those are closest to the meeting room.

Travel

Please note that VIVA will reimburse staff from VIVA member libraries from both public and private institutions for their travel within GMU guidelines. One day trips qualify for mileage, parking, and tolls only. Those who reside more than a 2.5 hour drive from the event location can apply for pre-approval for multi-day travel, including lodging reimbursements. Pre-approval from VIVA needs to be secured at least 48 hours before the event. 

VIVA does not have a hotel block for this event. We recommend booking at the SpringHill Suites. Be sure to select "Government & Military" under Special Rates to get the per diem rate ($110/night). You are welcome to select another hotel in the area, but make sure that you book at the government rate.

Recording: VIVA may record the presentations during the Forum. By attending this event you are giving VIVA permission to distribute recordings of you that may appear during the presentations, including any video or still photographs, sound recordings, presentations, or chat transcripts. You consent to your name and other information provided to VIVA to be displayed in connection with the appearance of your image.
