Travel
Please note that VIVA will reimburse staff from VIVA member libraries from both public and private institutions for their travel within GMU guidelines. One day trips qualify for mileage, parking, and tolls only. Those who reside more than a 2.5 hour drive from the event location can apply for pre-approval for multi-day travel, including lodging reimbursements. Pre-approval VIVA has secured at least 48 hours before the event.
VIVA has secured a hotel block for this event: VIVA GMU Block - Reservation Link . You may take advantage of the block whether or not VIVA is reimbursing for lodging. You may also secure different lodging as long as you select the government rate when booking. Please note that this rate must be requested when booking (it’s an option under special rates), but many local hotels honor this rate.
All travel forms can be found at https://vivalib.org/va/about/travel. If you have any travel related questions, please contract Cutrice Harris, VIVA Budget & Operations Manager, at vivatrvl@gmu.edu.
