Travel
Please note that VIVA will reimburse staff from VIVA member libraries from both public and private institutions for their travel within GMU guidelines. One day trips qualify for mileage, parking, and tolls only.
Those looking to secure lodging for the Forum should select the government rate when booking. Please note that this rate must be requested when booking (it’s an option under special rates), but a number of local hotels honor this rate including those listed here. Lodging reimbursements, which must have pre-approval, are typically only approved when the traveler resides more than a 2.5 hour drive from the event location.
All travel forms can be found at https://vivalib.org/va/about/travel. If you have any travel related questions, please contract Cutrice Harris, VIVA Budget & Operations Manager, at charri29@gmu.edu.
