Please join us for the 2023 VIVA ILL Community Forum on July 21, 2023. It will be a hybrid event with in-person attendance at the Harrison Auditorium, Harrison Institute and Small Special Collections Library, University of Virginia. This year's theme is, "Change: ILLuminating the Future" and will feature keynote speaker Jennie Rose Halperin, Director of Library Futures. In-Person Attendees:

The event will be held at the Harrison Institute and Small Special Collections Library in the Harrison Auditorium. The registration desk will open at 9:00 a.m. with a full breakfast. Parking is available in the Central Grounds Garage. The Central Grounds Garage is located under the University Bookstore at 400 Emmet Street, and is near Newcomb Hall, Memorial Gymnasium, Brown College, and the Clemons Library. Hourly parking may be paid via the ParkMobile app.

Travel:

Please note that VIVA will reimburse VIVA members from both public and private institutions for their travel within GMU guidelines. One day trips qualify for mileage, parking, and tolls only. Lodging reimbursements, which must have pre-approval, are typically only approved when the traveler resides more than a 2.5 hour drive from the event location. If you plan on requesting travel reimbursement from VIVA and have not done so before, please fill out a Virginia W-9, then go to this secure link https://fiscal.gmu.edu/purchasing/do-business-with-mason/, click on the Vendor Registration button, select that you are receiving a travel reimbursement,  and follow the process to upload a completed Virginia W-9. Please add Cutrice Harris, charri29@gmu.edu (VIVA’s Budget & Operations Manager), as the Mason contact person when you upload the W-9 form.
